Again, I did not want to make any judgement as it could have been a fluke. When my wife and I were driving to the first tee, we both noticed that the practice putting greens were both completely burned out and in awful shape. Again, I did not want to over-react and hit some balls to warm-up. BUT.when we arrived at the hitting net, the range balls were in awful, terrible condition. The club house is still amazing to walk into. Please note that the course is still charging green fees at full price. I figured that it was not that big of a deal and made the tee time anyway. I was somewhat disappointed by this as they did have a full driving range back in 2015. I did read on the website that there is no driving range, only a 40 yard hitting net. The cost was pretty decent (about $150.00) for both of us which I was expecting as it is supposed to be a higher-end course. I still had a good time playing the course.Īugust 2017- My wife and I have been planning this trip for two years and I was eager to go back once again. The conditions were amazing and was somewhat more difficult due to the housing community that is built around the course now. I recently played there again in 2015 and the course was still amazing. The course was tough but fair and in impeccable condition. I played out here in 2000 with my family and it was amazing. Reflection Bay is always an enjoyable track and today was no exception. The only reason I have (2) two stars is because I was able to get my money back with little resistance. Our foursome finished right at 3.5 hours! The group in front of us was long gone and they must have finished a good 1.5-2 holes ahead of us and we never saw the group behind us. Tee boxes were all level with ample coverage including the par 3’s.Īs many including myself have stated before, Reflection Bay is a super fun layout that has tons of elevation changes and handful of holes right on the lake. Standing over your ball you didn’t notice the brown tint and again, the fairways were plush. My guess is they have done some maintenance and possibly verticut the fairways a few weeks ago. Looking down the fairways from the tee box, you could see a lot of brown coloring blended throughout the fairways. Most greens only had subtle breaks.įairways were lush and a pleasure to hit from. Either I seemed to always be on the “correct” side or the greens are more docile than I remembered. Putts rolled smooth at a medium-slow pace. Reflection bay just aerated their greens a couple of weeks ago and they are still about a week or so from being completely healed but are pretty close. Off to the first tee as a foursome teeing off right at our 7:40 tee time behind the 7:30 am group. Once that was straightened I opted to skip the hitting bay in favor of a breakfast sandwich which was extremely reasonably priced. Her only “solution” was go pay for a single cart. The other gal, I’m sorry to say was clueless and didn’t want to solve the problem. I will hand it to one of the young gentleman cart attendants who new his customer service and got it all straightened out. They wanted to charge us extra for single carts when we didn’t want single carts. Pro shop was fine but getting a cart was a 10 minute ordeal. I didn’t get to play here a couple of months ago so I wanted to make sure I didn’t skip this GK supporter course this go around. Day 2 in Vegas was at the always enjoyable Reflection Bay.
